if you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come with something original. by the time they’re getting adults, most kids have lost that capacity. they become frightened to be wrong. and we actually run companies this way: we stigmatize mistakes.
we now run a national education system where mistakes are the worst things you can make. the result is that we’re educating people out of their creative capacities.
